Our Story

Manning Signs, formerly known as Wingham Sign Shop, has been a family-owned business since 1976. With a rich history in the sign writing industry, we started with hand-painted signs and have evolved by adopting the latest technologies. Our rebranding to Manning Signs marked a new chapter, allowing us to expand our services and meet changing client needs. With decades of experience and a dedication to quality, we continue to deliver exceptional service and value.

The Beginning of a Legacy
Peter, a talented artist with a passion for painting and decorating, starts his journey in the sign-writing industry, setting the foundation for what would become Manning Signs.

A New Chapter in Wingham
Peter, Karon, and the family relocate from Wollongong to the Mid North Coast and acquire the Wingham Signs Shop, where Peter’s exceptional skills in hand-painted signs begin to flourish.

Embracing the Digital Age
With the purchase of our first plotter and large-format printer, Manning Signs embraces digital sign-writing technology, significantly expanding our services and capabilities.

A New Era of Innovation
The business rebrands as Manning Signs and relocates to a larger facility to keep up with industry advancements. This period also sees Dave join the business, bringing fresh ideas and preparing for future leadership.

A New Chapter Under Dave’s Leadership
Dave officially takes the helm of Manning Signs, continuing the family tradition with a fresh vision and innovative approach, while Peter and Karon transition into retirement after over three decades of dedicated service.
